Very nice survivor, numbers matching 78 Dodge Monaco coupe, this car was only offered for 2 years 1977 & 1978. Originally a Virginia car, original 318 2 bbl with only 73,499 miles (lean burn was removed and replaced with electronic ignition but still have all the components in case someone wanted to convert it back) Runs much better than with the lean burn system. Everything works on this car & runs and drives 100% could be a daily driver, I just take it out on nice days mostly local cruise nights (always gets lots of attention) you just don't see these cars. The interior is perfect, carpet could pass for new, no rips on seats, dash has no cracks. Mechanically the car is sound, motor has no leaks, no knocks, nor does it burn oil. The transmission shifts flawlessly, car goes down the road straight and stops on a dime. Has new custom true dual exhaust with Thrush Welded mufflers (sounds very healthy). The frame, floors, trunk, solid as can be & extremely clean. The car was treated with Ziebart rust proofing, only rust on the car is above the chrome molding around the trunk lid, there is some minor surface bubbling and little surface rust inside the trunk left of the plate light. Also there is a small area on the passenger side rear wheel well in front of the tire to the right of the leaf spring ( see pic) that needs attention. The vinyl roof is perfect no issues. The car was re-painted some years ago by previous owner but is the correct color (DOVE GRAY). The doors when opened do not drop or sag. There is little rust starting on the rear bumper drivers side ( minimal). The only thing the car needs that I am aware of is the temperature control cable that regulates the air temperature from hot to cold. Never replaced it because you can still operate it manually simple by moving the valve left or right, it is located on one of the heater core hoses. The A/C does work & blows cold. Just a nice car.
